Description
The HR Representative implements corporate human resources policies and handles daily HR operations at the manufacturing plant. This role ensures the facility complies with all federal, state, and corporate regulations while managing local talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce relations. Acting as the primary bridge between the plant floor and headquarters, the HR Representative maintains operational alignment, drives safety compliance, and fosters a positive workplace culture within a structured corporate framework.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for attracting, hiring and onboarding qualified candidates per set procedures and processes and in partnership with hiring leader
- Source and hire plant staff
- Post jobs and screens local applicants
- Run interviews with plant leaders
- Extends offers following corporate compensation guideline
- Lead and ensure orientation for new hires and on the job training is completed
- Cultivates organizational culture, employee engagement and well being
- Build a positive local work climate
- Share corporate culture messages on-site
- Plan team events and feedback talks
- Serves as the primary local HR resource for employee relations matters, addressing employee concerns, conducting or supporting investigations as appropriate, and partnering with the Human Resources Director on matters requiring escalation
Ensures adherence to labor laws, company policies and industry regulations
- Follow all corporate HR policies and guidelines
- Track local labor law and safety codes
- Report plant data to headquarters on time
- Maintain all employee records
Fosters a culture of continuous learning to enhance employee skills and productivity as well as feedback through performance management program
- Roll out corporate training programs
- Guide managers through performance reviews
- Support front-line supervisors with coaching skills
- Monitor compliance with corporate training completion
- Identify local skill gaps for future training needs
Serves as the local champion for corporate Safety and Workers’ Compensation directives. Drives the local adoption of corporate safety cultures
- Work with plant manager to implement safety programs, promote safe work practices, and coordinate training
- Track and report workplace injuries
- Share safety updates with employees
- Promote a safe plant floor culture
- Identify and coordinate Safety training
Ensures compliances to compensation and benefit programs
- Explain pay and benefits to employees
- Assist in the execution of Annual Benefits Open Enrollment
- Send updates on employee status to the corporate payroll team on a timely basis
- Communicate with employees on questions about their health plans
Performs other HR-related responsibilities and duties as assigned based on business and operational needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
- Human Resources certification a plus
- Experience in progressively responsible human resource roles in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
- Bilingual- Spanish speaking required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace and HRIS
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource practices, including compensation/benefits, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
