Job Description Summary:
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications to work within our Technology & Innovation department in our Minneapolis or Philadelphia office. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the strategic management, delivery, and continuous optimization of the firm’s core business systems portfolio. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.Job Description:
What you would do:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Application Team
- Provides day-to-day supervision of direct reports, including setting goals, performance standards, and development plans aligned to team and organizational priorities
- Oversees the design, deployment, version lifecycle, and ongoing administration of the firm’s single and multi-tier applications as well as SaaS tenant configurations where necessary
- Defines and maintains service levels (SLAs/OLAs) for enterprise applications and ensures consistent operational performance against agreed service targets
- Identifies opportunities for automation, AI, and workflow optimization
- Drives continuous improvement of the enterprise application ecosystem through modernization, rationalization, and technical debt reduction initiatives
- Represents Enterprise Applications in cross-functional management discussions and technology planning sessions as delegated by the Senior Director
- Ensure applications comply with legal industry regulations, data privacy standards, and client security requirements
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $183,066.66 – $211,433.33.
Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role and the initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience delivering, supporting, and maintaining enterprise applications in a networked Windows-based environment
- Deep knowledge of single-tier and multi-tier application architecture, SaaS tenant administration, and backend database configurations
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a people management or supervisory role, with a demonstrated track record of coaching, developing, and performance managing technical staff
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing third-party vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers, including contract oversight, renewal cycles, and cost optimization of enterprise platforms
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in a large law firm, professional services organization, or similarly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of confidentiality requirements, ethical walls, and matter-centric data structures
- Strong familiarity with both on-premises and cloud-based enterprise applications, including traditional and emerging technologies
- Strong familiarity working with Microsoft SQL Server configuration, administration, and support
- Experience leading or supporting ITIL-based service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management in an enterprise environment
- Experience managing enterprise application lifecycles, including modernization, upgrade planning, and decommissioning of legacy systems
- Proven experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple departments to deliver enterprise technology solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate technical items to both technical and non-technical audiences
