Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automation Architect II / Infrastructure Security Automation Engineer to design, develop, and support automation solutions that improve the speed, consistency, scalability, and effectiveness of infrastructure security and compliance operations.

This role will focus on automation for vulnerability remediation, patch management, infrastructure hardening, compliance monitoring, operational reporting, and systems integration. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting and automation experience with tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, REST APIs, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure security and compliance functions.

• Automate vulnerability remediation, patch management, infrastructure hardening, compliance monitoring, and reporting.

• Develop scripts, workflows, playbooks, and integrations using:

  • PowerShell

  • Python

  • Bash

  • Ansible

  • REST APIs

  • YAML

• Integrate security and infrastructure tools with ticketing, asset management, vulnerability management, and reporting platforms.

• Develop reusable and maintainable automation aligned with enterprise standards and coding practices.

• Support automated patch deployment, remediation validation, exception handling, and compliance reporting.

• Use source control platforms such as Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.

• Maintain repositories, version history, technical documentation, and reusable automation modules.

• Test, validate, troubleshoot, and improve automation solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and code review for automation developed by internal teams and vendors.

• Partner with Cyber Security, Infrastructure Services, reporting teams, and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.

• Support automation across Windows, Linux, network, and telecommunications infrastructure.

• Evaluate emerging automation, orchestration, and AI-enabled technologies.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure automation, scripting, DevOps, cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure operations, or a related field.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, MIS, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• Strong experience with scripting and automation technologies such as:

  • PowerShell

  • Python

  • Bash

  • Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform

  • REST APIs

  • YAML

• Experience with Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, enterprise networks, and Cisco technologies.

• Understanding of vulnerability management, patching, remediation, hardening, and security compliance.

• Experience integrating multiple enterprise systems and data sources through APIs and automation.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented automation code.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ivanti Security Controls, SCCM, WSUS, Red Hat Satellite, or vulnerability scanning tools.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and reusable automation frameworks.

• Experience supporting security automation within a large enterprise environment.

• Familiarity with telecommunications or utility infrastructure.

• Experience reviewing or mentoring automation developed by peers, contractors, or vendors.
