- Collaborate in the development of a preventative maintenance program that enhances plant uptime, enabling downstream operations to more effectively meet customer requirements and mitigate exposure to high-risk hazards.
- Help develop and install EAF technology that improves safety, plant up time and product variability.
- Assist with coordinating planned maintenance - down days and outages.
- Work with operations to improve the steelmaking process by improving yield, increasing production, decreasing costs, and enhancing product quality.
- Work with IT to develop a maintenance program custom to the mill's requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- B.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
Preferred
- Prior mechanical maintenance experience.
- Meltshop experience.
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
