Production Forklift Operator - 1st Shift!

Description

The Fremont Company is looking for a dependable Production Forklift Operator to join our team at our Fremont manufacturing facility.

In this role, you will operate a forklift throughout the production facility, use an RF scan gun to track and move inventory, and help keep our production lines supplied and running efficiently. We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate a forklift throughout production and warehouse areas
• Use an RF scan gun to accurately scan, track, and move materials and finished product
• Supply production lines with ingredients, packaging materials, and other necessary items
• Move finished product and pallets to designated locations
• Remove completed pallets and other materials from production areas
• Load, unload, stack, and organize materials as needed
• Complete required forklift inspections before operation
• Maintain accurate inventory movement through proper scanning procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Communicate with production, warehouse, and other team members to keep materials moving efficiently
• Follow all company safety procedures, GMPs, and food safety requirements
• Assist with other production or warehouse duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Previous experience using an RF scan gun or similar inventory scanning system preferred
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus
• Ability to safely operate a forklift in busy production areas and tighter spaces
• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Strong awareness of safety and surroundings
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Willingness to work overtime as production needs require
