ACCIONA Mechanical & Electrical is a specialist division within ACCIONA, delivering end-to-end mechanical and electrical design, construction, installation and commissioning services that support the transition to a low-carbon future.
Project Info
The ACCIONA Mechanical and Electrical team is delivering the structural, mechanical and piping installation package for the Eyre Peninsula Desalination Project in South Australia. ACCIONA is the major construction partner for the 5.3 gigalitre-per-year desalination plant at Billy Lights Point, near Port Lincoln. The reverse osmosis plant will provide a climate-resilient water supply to around 35,000 customers across the region.
About Opportunity
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee and manage all mechanical aspects of a construction project, coordinating work crews, enforcing safety compliance and maintaining quality standards on site. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with engineers and site teams to keep delivery on time and within budget. Your technical expertise, leadership and problem-solving ability will be central to safe, efficient project execution.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Solve complex technical problems and implement effective solutions
Optimise construction processes to lift efficiency and productivity
Lead and direct mechanical work crews, resolving conflicts fairly
Enforce ACCIONA procedures, OMRs and permit compliance on site
Manage program risk, resourcing and critical path to protect schedule
Monitor quality standards and address non-conformities promptly
Report progress, risks and program status to project leadership
Required Skills and Competencies
- Trades qualification in construction, building or manufacturing
- Experience in a construction, engineering or industrial environment
- Previous experience as a Foreman or Supervisor
- Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation
- Strong communication skills to direct and influence teams
