What You’ll Do

As an Experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant, you’ll work alongside our doctors and LVTs while providing hands-on support throughout the hospital.

Depending on your experience and applicable scope of practice, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting doctors and LVTs during appointments and examinations
• Assisting with treatments and patient nursing care
• Venipuncture and blood sample collection
• IV catheter placement
• Administering medications and treatments as appropriate
• Preparing patients and equipment for procedures
• Assisting with surgical and anesthesia-related patient care
• Supporting patients throughout recovery
• Collecting and preparing laboratory samples
• Assisting with diagnostic imaging
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Communicating with pet parents and fellow team members
• Helping maintain clean, organized, and well-prepared patient-care areas

Experience with dentistry is a plus, but it is not required.

• Previous veterinary hospital or general practice experience
• Strong hands-on technical and patient-care skills
• Confidence with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and treatments
• Experience supporting surgical and anesthesia cases
• Comfortable assisting with appointments and patient care throughout the day

• Compassionate and thoughtful animal handling
• Dependability and the ability to recognize where support is needed
• A collaborative approach and willingness to jump in and help the team

Benefits & Compensation

Compensation: $25–$29/hour, based on experience and skill set

Schedule: We are primarily looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician Assistant who can work a combination of weekdays. There is no set schedule to start, and we are open to discussing the exact schedule based on your availability and experience.
