Quality Control Laboratory Technician I

The purpose of the Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician is to support the daily activities of the QC Laboratory. This includes but not limited to donor source material inspections, review of send out testing, laboratory testing preparations.

 

**The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 7:00am- 3:00pm**

 

Responsibilities include:

· Perform work in a GMP environment

· Perform daily source material inspections

· Electronic database entry and review activities

· Source material scrapping

· Daily review of pooled sample send-out documentation

· Laboratory testing preparation activities (e.g. saline conical tube preparation)

· Weekly laboratory cleaning

· Logging drug product samples received from Production

· Initiate laboratory incidents and deviations when necessary

· Lab supply inventory management and restocking

· Support equipment general maintenance activities

· Any other duties as assigned for business reasons

 

Requirements:

Education and Professional Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in scientific field including general lab experience, or an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a GMP environment

 

Experience:

· Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience

 

Skills:

· Can work independently and in a team setting

· Strong communication Skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Perform functions efficiently to meet deadlines as established

· Adaptable to fast work pace and shifting priorities/project timelines

· Experience with MS Office applications

· Follow procedures as written

· Strong technical writing skills

Working Conditions:

· Sit or stand for ~8 hours per day.

· Significant work pace and pressure due to deadlines and rapid change.

· Mix of 20% office and 80% Production/Laboratory setting

· Able to lift 25 pounds

Our Compensation and Benefits 

At Ferring, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $52,021 to $96,611, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
