Special Education Teacher – Mod/Severe

Position Overview 

• Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with moderate to severe disabilities in a special education setting.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans and IEP goals while monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction to meet diverse needs.
• Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation, independence, communication, and growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related-service providers, families, and school staff to support student success and ensure consistent implementation of services.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree with appropriate transcripts; California Certificate of Clearance (COC)
• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Moderate/Severe Disabilities authorization and English Learner Authorization
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities and implementing individualized instruction and IEP goals; familiarity with California assessment requirements such as CSET/CBEST preferred
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
