Anglicare is seeking an accomplished and strategic property leader to join our Seniors Communities team as Head of Portfolio Asset Management. This is a highly visible leadership role, and you will lead the strategic stewardship, performance and optimisation of a retirement living portfolio comprising of over 3,000 Independent Living Units across NSW, with an ambition to substantially grow over the next decade.
Your opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Asset, Property and Hospitality, as the Head of Portfolio Asset Management, you will drive asset strategy, lifecycle planning, capital investment prioritisation, portfolio optimisation and long-term property performance across a complex, multi-site portfolio. You'll partner closely with executive leaders across Property, Operations, Finance and Development to ensure investment decisions support resident outcomes, mitigate risk and create sustainable value.
With integrity and resilience, you will:
- Develop and execute portfolio-wide asset management and investment strategies
- Lead lifecycle planning, asset renewal and long-term capital forecasting
- Prioritise and govern capital investment programs across the portfolio
- Establish asset management frameworks, governance standards and performance metrics
- Provide strategic advice on portfolio risk, asset performance and investment decisions
- Identify opportunities for asset enhancement, renewal, redevelopment, and optimisation
- Build strong executive stakeholder relationships and influence strategic outcomes
What you’ll bring
You will be a commercially minded asset management leader with a track record of driving performance, value creation and strategic investment outcomes across large-scale property portfolios. You will bring a deep understanding of portfolio asset management and know how to balance long-term asset performance, operational requirements, customer experience and financial returns. You are equally comfortable operating at a strategic executive level and translating complex asset data into clear investment decisions that influence business outcomes.
Beyond your technical expertise, you are a forward-thinking leader who can see the bigger picture. You thrive in complex environments, bring a continuous improvement mindset and are motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of residents and communities.
What’s required:
- Strategic asset management of large property portfolios.
- Strong commercial and investment decision-making capability.
- Experience overseeing significant capital expenditure and asset improvement programs.
- Ability to drive portfolio growth, value creation, and long-term asset performance.
- Strong analytical capability, leveraging asset data, risk assessments, and performance insights to drive informed decision-making.
What’s preferred:
- Aged care, retirement living, healthcare, or similar property sector experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership experience managing senior teams and people leaders.
