Job Description Summary
About This RoleLarge-scale energy infrastructure projects don't close themselves — they require someone who can see the full picture, lead diverse teams with purpose, and ensure that every commercial commitment made at the start of a project is honoured at the end.
As Senior Manager, Sourcing & PPLM (Project Procurement and Logistics Management) for the Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) portfolio, you will own the end-to-end procurement and logistics strategy across a complex, concurrent portfolio of high-value capital projects. From the earliest tender stage through to final site handover and contract closure, your leadership will define how GE Vernova's supply chain performs — commercially, operationally, and reputationally.
This is a senior leadership role with significant scope: you will shape procurement strategy at the portfolio level, resolve high-stakes commercial challenges, and lead a multidisciplinary team committed to shared accountability and long-term project success.
Job Description
What You'll Do
Lead portfolio-wide sourcing strategy — develop and implement a unified procurement approach across concurrent FGD projects, capturing bulk procurement synergies, optimising logistics, and mitigating systemic supply chain risk.
Own project closure and post-delivery integrity — direct the PPLM team through rigorous final contract audits, account reconciliation, supplier claim resolution, and fulfilment of all warranty and performance bond obligations through to definitive project sign-off.
Resolve critical portfolio issues — serve as the senior escalation point for supplier disputes, quality non-conformances, and supply chain bottlenecks. Lead cross-functional teams to execute decisive resolutions for issues that span multiple projects simultaneously.
Oversee strategic contracting and commercial terms — negotiate and manage major subcontracts, ensuring enforceable provisions for schedule adherence, liquidated damages, and performance guarantees remain effective through final project delivery.
Build and develop the PPLM team — lead, coach, and scale your team with performance frameworks that reward proactive risk management and end-to-end project ownership, fostering a culture of commercial accountability and technical rigor.
Align with Finance and Project Management — partner with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Finance to maintain supply chain expenditures within forecasted budgets and deliver executive-level reporting on procurement key performance indicators (KPIs), portfolio risk profiles, and strategic trends.
Who You Are
You are an experienced procurement leader who combines strategic thinking with hands-on commercial discipline — someone who thrives in complex, multi-project environments and takes personal ownership of outcomes from first contract to final closure.
Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
10+ years of progressive experience in procurement leadership within the power, energy, or heavy infrastructure (EPC) sector, with a demonstrated track record of managing multiple large-scale capital projects concurrently
Deep expertise in complex commercial negotiations and the full project lifecycle, with a specific focus on project settlement and final closure
Demonstrated experience navigating claim-intensive industrial environments and securing final commercial and contractual closure for high-value capital assets
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership during high-pressure dispute resolution
Preferred
Master's degree or MBA, complementing a strong foundation in engineering and commercial practice
Familiarity with FGD or related environmental infrastructure portfolios within the power sector
