Description
- Provides an outstanding customer experience by greeting and receiving visitors and callers and responding to questions. Operate the Village telephone switchboard.
- Provide accurate information to customers on license and permit requirements, general Village codes, and property maintenance and water accounts.
- Collect and process payments for permits, licenses, water bills and other payments. Posts on a daily basis, monies to appropriate accounts. Reconciles deposits, checks, cash receipts, licenses and permits and water bills.
- Schedules building inspections
- Perform general office work, including typing, filing, record keeping and handling cash
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as keyboarding, accounting, and data processing.
- Three (3) years increasingly responsible related experience in computerized billing and/or permitting system, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to maintain confidential information.
- Good organization, follow- through, and time management skills; excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of Munis software system a plus.
- Bilingual skills are desirable.
The anticipated hiring salary for this position will be $26.18 hourly ($54,454.40 annually) to $27.00 hourly ($,56,160 annually) dependent upon qualifications. The current full salary range for the position is $26.18 - $37.96 hourly ($54,454.40 - $78,956.80 annually).
