Member of Technical Staff - II

Responsibilities

• Own the development of features of medium to large complexity, applying in-depth knowledge to turn requirements into architectural and feature specifications.
• Contribute extensively to the analysis, build, prototyping, and implementation of new features while improving existing ones.
• Address broad architecture and build issues of existing and future products or technologies, providing strategic direction in evaluating new technologies.
• Collaborate with product management and marketing to evaluate and determine new features to be added.
• Act proactively as a self-starter and fast learner, developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for acquiring results.
• Provide leadership within the respective division and mentor engineers.
• Specialize in one or more platforms. Be knowledgeable of cross-platform issues, competitive products, and customer requirements. Contribute significantly to the development and application of advanced concepts, technologies, and expertise within the team.
• Ensure high-quality code and related documentation.

What you need to succeed

• B.Tech/M.Tech from a premier institute with 2 to 4 years of hands-on build and development experience in software development, preferably in a product development organization.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Knowledge of software fundamentals including building and analysis of algorithms, data structure development, implementation, documentation, and unit testing.
• Good understanding of object-oriented development and knowledge of product life cycles and associated issues.
• Experience in application development on multiple platforms, including various flavors of Windows and Macintosh.
• Excellent computer science fundamentals with a good understanding of architecture, development, and performance.
• Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent great teammate with good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in the image processing domain would be preferred.
