Schedule:  Full-Time, Day-Shift, Monday to Friday, (8 am - 4:00 pm) 

POSITION SUMMARY:
The EHR Application Analyst Senior serves as an advanced-level contributor in the support, optimization, and ongoing development of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role handles complex technical issues, leads system optimization efforts, and serves as a resource and mentor for junior analysts. The EHR Application Analyst Senior applies deep knowledge of EHR capabilities and healthcare business workflows to drive improvements that enhance clinical and operational performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advanced System Support and Maintenance: 
• Serve as a primary escalation point for complex technical issues and system errors, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to ensure timely resolution and minimal disruption to patient care. 
• Provide day-to-day technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and resolving system errors to ensure uninterrupted use of the EHR system.  
• Provide guidance to junior analysts on day-to-day support challenges, sharing expertise and building team capability. 
• Lead and coordinate routine maintenance activities, including software updates, patches, and upgrades, to ensure the stability and security of the EHR system.
• Coordinate testing and validation activities for system changes, enhancements, and upgrades, ensuring new features meet functional requirements without introducing unintended disruptions.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including taking lead responsibility for after-hours coverage on complex or escalated issues.

System Optimization: 

• Lead efforts to optimize the performance, usability, and efficiency of the EHR system. 
• Conduct workflow assessments with operational partners to identify build inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and advance optimization requests through appropriate governance and change management channels.
• Apply cross-application integration knowledge to identify dependencies and ensure cohesive system performance across modules.

Collaboration and Vendor Engagement: 

• Take ownership of defined work streams or components within EHR implementation projects, system upgrades, and other initiatives. 
• Coordinate task assignments, track progress, and communicate status to project leads, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
• Own ongoing relationships with EHR vendor support, including managing open support requests, evaluating release notes for operational impact, and representing the organization in user group sessions and advisory forums.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams - including IT, clinicians, administrators, and vendors - to support EHR initiatives and facilitate effective communication across stakeholder groups.

Documentation and Knowledge Management: 

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. 
• Establish knowledge-sharing practices to ensure critical information is accessible and current across the team.

Training and Mentorship: 

• Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts and end-users, sharing best practices to enhance team capabilities and support continuous professional development. 

Compliance and Data Privacy

• Handle all protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational data privacy and security policies. 
• Complete required compliance training and model information security best practices for the team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent analytical, organization, and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently and within teams. 
• Ability to solve complex problems and understand translate customer needs into system solutions.  
• Strong understanding of healthcare business process, workflows, and terminology.
• Cross-application integration knowledge. 
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 or equivalent productivity tools.
• Degree in Computer Science, healthcare or related field.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum two (2) to five (5) years of experience as an EHR Application Analyst, Health IT Analyst, Epic Analyst, or in a related healthcare information systems role.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Current Epic Certification.

PAY RANGE:

$76,000.00 - $90,000.00Rochester14617

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
