Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commercial Lines Rater (Marketing Assistant) to join a established and growing team. This is an entry-level position designed to support our licensed staff by handling data entry, quoting, and eventually assisting with carrier selection for commercial insurance accounts. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to long-term success. While prior licensing is not required, candidates must be willing to obtain their Property & Casualty (P&C) license within 60–90 days of hire.

Compensation Package

• Base Salary: $40,000 annually
• Additional Compensation:
  • One-time fees for writing or handing off accounts ($50–$1,000)
  • Referral bonuses ($75–$250 depending on account size)
  • Monthly commissions for health-licensed referrals or growing accounts above $20K

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and quoting for commercial insurance accounts, including contractors, restaurants, marinas, and home healthcare businesses.
• Assist in carrier selection under the direction of producers, with the potential for expanded responsibilities over time.
• Support licensed staff by alleviating workload and ensuring efficient operations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely processing of accounts.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and contribute to the agency's growth.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Education & Experience:
  • No prior licensing required at the time of hire, but candidates must commit to obtaining a Property & Casualty (P&C) license within 60–90 days.
  • Experience in data entry, marketing, or insurance is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with AMS360 software is a bonus.
