The Planner will have the overall responsibility for the planning and establishment of production schedules, monitoring of materials inventories needed for production, tracking progress of production, and review of factors which affect production schedules. Must effectively collect and communicate information and changes between Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Create and maintain the production schedule in the ERP system and communicate the production schedules to the manufacturing sites
- Service customer demand needs and minimize backorders while maintaining and acceptable inventory of finished goods
- Manage outside contractor schedules to coordinate supply chain activities to support scheduled production
- Manage outside contractor relationships of those related to production
- Understand equipment limitations and plant capabilities to maximize production efficiency and support other departments
- Develop extensive knowledge of specific product line(s)
- Train and educate internal employees on finite scheduling and current planning and materials management techniques
- Review and maintain stocking levels for stocked manufactured products
- This role will also include but is not limited to inventory management functions and related systems information maintenance
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university required
- 1-5 years’ experience in a planning or forecasting position preferred
- Detail oriented with excellent communication and organization skills
- MRP or MRP II experience in an engineer-to-order, or make-to-order environment preferred

The hybrid schedule for this role includes in-office work on Tuesdays - Thursdays, and additional onsite days may be required during the training period. Associates are expected to be in the office during this time.
