Material Assistant

Eaton’s EPG CPD PCD Power Components Division is currently seeking a Material Assistant. This is an on-site position based at our growing Beaver, PA facility.

This Material Assistant monitors and reports assigned inventory segments at the plant to ensure material availability and accurate data for customer orders and suppliers. This role assists in the planning and coordinating of primary material warehoused at the plant. You will contribute to the analysis and control of inventory levels and to ensure that optimal supplies are maintained, space is optimized, and material is not lost.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $83000 a year.

## What you’ll do:

• Analyzes inventory levels and forecast data to ensure appropriate warehousing space is utilized.
• Analyzes data, including enterprise requirement planning information, and prepares reports as needed for execution and recommended action in order to optimize plant operations.
• Maintains planning parameters in plant systems, such as MAPICS, to keep systems updated.
• Achieves status of Subject Matter Expert for Cycle Counting.
• Generates and completes cycle counts to upkeep accurate on hand data for inventory.
• Generates and applies necessary labels for material, locations, etc. to ensure appropriate visualization.
• Performs root cause analysis for all discrepancies identified on cycle counts and works with Buyers and Materials teams to develop and implement corrective actions for all root causes identified.
• Assists in completing scrap and other transactions.
• Performs on-the-spot cycle counts for high priority items with summary to management as required for planning/expediting purposes.
• Assists in preparations for and completion of annual physical inventory activities.
• Participates in daily Tier 1 meeting for Materials Group and Tier 2 meeting for Supply Chain Department and leads weekly Cycle Count Review meeting.
• Maintain thorough expertise in pallet rack standards and forklift safety practices.

## Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, or production.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of our Beaver, PA facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

## Skills:

• Sound understanding of materials management, cycle counting, and root cause analysis.
• Possesses excellent problem-solving skills in situations that undergo continuous priority changes.
• Proficient in Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of analysis and reporting tools
• Knowledge of MAPICS
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma
