LPL Financial is seeking a Vice President, Cloud Lead to help shape the future of our cloud technology ecosystem and drive the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise platforms. This role offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy, guide cloud transformation initiatives, and work closely with business and technology partners to deliver innovative solutions that support LPL's strategic objectives.

Job Overview
The Vice President, Cloud Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications and platform services within cloud and hybrid-cloud environments. This role provides technical leadership across solution architecture, cloud engineering, application development, platform modernization, and software delivery. The position partners with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, technology roadmaps, and business goals while maintaining scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable enterprise applications and platform services within cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Quality Engineering, Release Management, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, support, and ongoing enhancement.
Design solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and cloud engineering best practices.
Develop and support highly scalable platform components, APIs, applications, and services that serve enterprise business needs.
Provide advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical support for complex application and platform issues.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend architecture, process, and platform improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and scalability.
Contribute to solution planning, technical estimates, and roadmap development activities.
Maintain technical documentation and ensure solutions are properly documented throughout their lifecycle.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and adoption of best practices.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of experience in software development, application architecture, and enterprise technology delivery.
5+ years of experience designing and developing cloud or hybrid-cloud solutions.
5+ years of experience with full-stack application development utilizing technologies such as C#, Angular (or similar frameworks), and relational databases.
Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting solutions on AWS cloud platforms.
Core Competencies
Expertise in cloud architecture and cloud-native application development.
Knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and modern application design patterns.
Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies, software delivery practices, and automation frameworks.
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence technical direction and drive organizational change.
Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.
Knowledge of domain-driven design, test-driven development, and software quality practices.
Preferences
Cloud engineering or cloud architecture certifications.
Experience with AWS technologies including ECS, EKS, Fargate, VPC, S3, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, IAM, EC2, Lambda, and serverless architectures.
Experience with source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and continuous delivery practices.
Experience developing API-driven, messaging, or event-streaming solutions utilizing technologies such as Apache Kafka or StreamSets.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
Pay Range:
