We are looking for an experienced Senior OSP Design Engineer to ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of our fiber network designs. This role will focus on QA/QC, design reviews, technical standards, and complex engineering support, while working closely with engineering, operations, GIS, permitting, field, and construction teams.
Work schedule: Monday - Friday from 5:30 PM till 1:30 AM IST - onsite (No WFH or Hybrid).
Location: EMAAR Digital Green, Tower B, Golf Course Road Extension, Sector 61, Gurugram, Haryana – 122011.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary QA/QC Subject Matter Expert (SME) for OSP engineering deliverables and technical standards.
- Review, validate, and approve HLDs, LLDs, construction packages, splice plans, fiber allocation, and other engineering outputs before client submission.
- Lead technical quality reviews and design audits, identifying defects, compliance gaps, and constructability issues.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for complex OSP design, constructability, permitting, utility conflict, and client-standard issues.
- Ensure designs comply with NESC standards, utility requirements, and client-specific engineering standards.
- Validate and optimize aerial and underground fiber designs, including Long Haul, Backbone, Middle Mile, FTTH, and FTTx networks.
- Define and maintain QA/QC procedures, review checklists, audit standards, and quality metrics to reduce rework and improve first-pass approval rates.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, GIS, Permitting, Field Survey, and Construction teams to ensure designs are accurate, constructible, cost-effective, and client-ready.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in OSP Design, specifically supporting U.S.-based aerial and underground telecom projects.
- Strong experience in OSP Fiber Network Design, including FTTH/FTTP, Backbone, Feeder, Long Haul, and distributed split architectures.
- Proven experience performing QA/QC reviews and technical approval of OSP engineering designs and deliverables.
- Advanced knowledge of fiber allocation, splicing methodologies, route optimization, BAU, and network architecture.
- Strong hands-on experience with key OSP engineering platforms, particularly IQGeo, AutoCAD, QGIS, O-calc/Katapult, Vetro, etc.
- Ability to review HLD and LLD designs, identify design defects and compliance gaps, and recommend technically sound solutions.
