The Role

Leap29 is looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager / Engineer to join a major data centre project in Borlänge, Sweden.

This is a site-focused contract position requiring an experienced quality professional who can support the implementation, coordination and monitoring of QA/QC requirements throughout project execution.

The successful candidate will work closely with project management, engineering, construction and site teams to ensure works are completed in accordance with project specifications, approved procedures and applicable quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and monitor project QA/QC procedures and requirements
• Coordinate site inspections, testing and associated quality documentation
• Develop, review and manage Inspection and Test Plans, ITPs
• Monitor construction activities against project specifications, drawings and quality requirements
• Manage NCRs and coordinate corrective and preventative actions
• Maintain inspection records, quality documentation and project reporting
• Identify quality issues and work with site teams to ensure timely resolution
• Support quality audits, reviews and project inspections
• Liaise with engineering, construction, project management, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements
• Support continuous improvement of quality processes throughout project execution

Experience Required

• Previous QA/QC experience within major construction or engineering projects
• Data centre project experience is strongly preferred
• Experience from pharmaceutical, mission-critical or similarly complex technical projects will also be considered
• Strong working knowledge of ITPs, inspections, testing, NCRs and corrective actions
• Experience working directly with construction and engineering teams in a site environment
• Comfortable working on predominantly site-based assignments
• Previous experience working within Sweden or the wider Nordic project market would be advantageous
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and international project teams

Location and Working Pattern

The position is based predominantly on site in Borlänge, Sweden.

We are particularly interested in candidates already based within reasonable travelling distance of Borlänge. We will also consider experienced Nordic and European contractors who are accustomed to working site rotations and travelling for project assignments.

For candidates who are not locally based, this should be considered a rotational site assignment rather than a daily commuting position.
