Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Sylva, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed officer at a healthcare technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of technology, media, and telecommunications facilities, including business areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPO is required.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
