Cook Part-Time

Job Summary

If you possess a basic ability to cook, White Birch assisted living is for you. Homestyle meals are prepared and served to an elderly population in a low-stress environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in planning and preparing all meals in conjunction with the kitchen supervisor and/or manager while following all the specific dietary needs of the current population at White Birch.
• Meals are an important part of an elderly person's day, not only for nutrition, but for quality of life. They shall be prepared while keeping these points in mind.
• Keeps kitchen and dining area clean and in compliance with all inspections.
• Cooking cleaning and dishwashing are apart of all kitchen positions. 

Qualifications and Skills

• Cooking experience and the ability to follow a recipe are required.
• Applicants must be willing to work every other weekend and some holidays.

Benefits and Perks

A full benefits package is included with full-time employment. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid vacation time and holiday pay after one year as well as a retirement plan. Experienced candidates may start up to $17 per hour.
