Location: Giza, Egypt | Hybrid
Job Summary
A leading and rapidly growing healthcare/pharmaceutical organization is seeking an experienced People & Culture Director to lead and drive the overall people agenda for a major business division.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the People & Culture Director will serve as a strategic partner to the executive leadership team, shaping the organization's people strategy, culture, talent agenda, organizational capability, and workforce planning to support continued business growth and transformation.
The successful candidate will oversee an HR function of approximately 150 employees, with 15 senior HR professionals reporting directly into the role across key HR functions.
This is a highly strategic leadership position requiring a strong balance of business partnering, organizational development, talent management, culture transformation, and HR operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic People Partnership
- Develop and lead the People & Culture strategy in alignment with the organization's overall business strategy and growth objectives.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on all people-related matters.
- Partner with senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, capability building, and people-driven business transformation.
- Translate business priorities into effective people strategies and organizational initiatives.
- Anticipate future talent and organizational requirements and develop strategies to address them.
Talent, Performance & Development
- Oversee the full talent management agenda, including:
- Talent acquisition
- Performance management
- Succession planning
- Career development
- Leadership development
- Talent reviews
- Build and maintain a strong leadership pipeline across the organization.
- Champion learning and development initiatives designed to build critical capabilities and accelerate employee growth.
- Establish and strengthen performance management frameworks that support a high-performance culture.
- Identify critical talent and ensure effective succession plans are in place for key positions.
Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience
- Drive initiatives that strengthen organizational culture, employee engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
- Foster a high-performance, purpose-driven, and collaborative culture.
- Lead culture transformation initiatives in line with organizational growth and evolving business requirements.
- Utilize people analytics, employee engagement data, and HR KPIs to identify trends and drive informed decision-making.
- Develop initiatives that improve employee satisfaction, engagement, productivity, and retention.
HR Governance, Compliance & Organizational Effectiveness
- Ensure robust HR governance, policies, processes, and frameworks across the organization.
- Ensure consistent and effective implementation of HR policies and practices.
- Maintain compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal governance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, structures, and operating models.
- Establish appropriate HR metrics and dashboards to measure the effectiveness and impact of the People & Culture function.
HR Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and oversee an HR function of approximately 150 employees.
- Directly manage and develop 15 senior HR professionals across the function.
- Provide strategic direction, coaching, mentoring, and leadership to senior HR team members.
- Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations for the HR leadership team.
- Build a high-performing HR organization capable of supporting a complex and rapidly growing business.
- Strengthen collaboration and integration across the different HR disciplines.
- Develop the capabilities and succession pipeline of the HR function itself.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Master's degree and/or professional HR certification such as SHRM or CIPD is preferred.
- 15–20 years of progressive HR / People & Culture experience, including significant senior leadership and strategic business partnering experience.
- Strong multinational experience is required, preferably within a complex, matrixed, or multinational organization.
- Proven experience leading large-scale HR functions and senior HR teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex organizations with multiple business functions and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior HR leader and strategic business partner with 15–20 years of progressive experience, including substantial experience within a multinational and matrix organization.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of leading large HR functions, managing senior HR leadership teams, partnering with C-suite executives, and driving organizational transformation and people strategies in complex business environments.
