RS Breakers & Controls Inc. is a growing distributor of electrical equipment, supplying breakers, controls, and related products to contractors, industrial clients, and distributors across Canada. We are expanding our Calgary team and looking for a driven Sales Representative to grow our customer base in Alberta.
Position Summary
The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business, managing existing customer accounts, and driving revenue growth within the electrical products segment in the Calgary market. This role requires a solid understanding of electrical components and distribution, combined with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and secure new customers within the electrical contracting, industrial, and distribution sectors
- Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts to maximize repeat business
- Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and pricing in line with company margins and targets
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on breakers, controls, and related electrical equipment
- Collaborate with the warehouse and supply chain team to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery
- Track sales activity, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools; report regularly to management
- Attend industry trade shows, supplier events, and customer site visits as needed
- Resolve customer concerns promptly, escalating where necessary
- Stay current on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing in the Alberta electrical distribution space
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of sales experience in the electrical products, industrial supply, or related distribution industry
- Working knowledge of electrical components (breakers, controls, switchgear, etc.) — technical background or trade certification an asset
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for client visits
- Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office
