Junior Digital Analyst
Role Overview
This Pune-based role is ideal for an early-career analyst with 1–2 years of experience in business operations, sales operations, reporting, or data administration. You will support operational processes across the full customer lifecycle—from pre-sales through renewals and post-sale validation—through data management, reporting, Salesforce administration support, and process improvement initiatives.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal teams to streamline processes and support retention and growth initiatives. This role requires adherence to software revenue recognition standards in accordance with accounting procedures and company policy. The position reports to the Manager, Global Sales Administration.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Quality
• Maintain accurate and consistent data across Salesforce and related business systems.
• Support Salesforce data management activities, including account, lead, opportunity, and customer data maintenance.
• Ensure a high level of data accuracy and integrity through careful validation and attention to detail.
Operations, Renewals & Transaction Support
• Support recurring operational processes across the customer lifecycle, including renewals, quotes, orders, and contract tracking in Salesforce.
• Assist with high-volume transaction processing and deal finalization, particularly during quarter-end close.
• Help prioritize workload and flag time-sensitive or high-impact items for escalation.
Post-Sale Audit & Validation
• Support post-sale audits to validate order accuracy, pricing, contract terms, and system alignment.
• Identify and help resolve discrepancies between quotes, contracts, and booked records to ensure clean revenue reporting.
• Assist with testing and validation of system enhancements, data changes, and process improvements.
Documentation & Process Improvement
• Maintain operational documentation, standard operating procedures, and process guides.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reporting accuracy, and operational consistency.
• Proactively recommend process improvements based on audit and reporting findings to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve process efficiency.
• Act as a point of coordination between business users and internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Business Systems) to resolve data, order, and reporting issues.
• Deliver timely, accurate responses to internal and external inquiries to support a high level of customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
How You Will Do It
• Ensure a high level of data accuracy and integrity through careful validation and attention to detail.
• Follow established governance processes and documentation standards to maintain operational consistency.
• Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Business Systems teams to resolve issues and support business needs.
• Continuously seek ways to reduce manual effort, improve reporting quality, and streamline operational workflows.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks while maintaining strong communication and timely follow-up.
• Be available for flexible scheduling during quarter-end to support global teams and urgent deal activity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Reporting, Data Administration, or a similar analyst role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting and operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with business data and operational reporting processes.
• Experience working with Salesforce CRM or a similar CRM system.
Nice to Have
• Exposure to subscription-based, SaaS, or HaaS business models.
• Basic understanding of contract management or revenue recognition principles.
• Exposure to data governance, data quality, or data hygiene initiatives.
• Experience supporting reporting, analytics, or process improvement projects.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
