Description
Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation and Transformation Communications
- Translate strategic and organizational topics into clear and transparent narratives
- Break down strategy and change goals into tangible, employee-relevant messages
- Create actionable communication materials to enable leadership cascades
- Draft clear and emphatic employee info materials / Q&As on ongoing org changes
- Elaborate meaningful townhall content in alignment with management
- Provide slides/draft speaking notes to management and participating senior leaders
- Advise senior stakeholders on tone, wording and narrative framing
- Establish an organized process and standard for identifying and communicating relevant internal news
- Foster regular contact with international sites to ensure global internal communication cohesion
- Identify story opportunities and shape internal storytelling around science, success stories, people
2. Internal Communications Operations
- Coordinate internal content distribution timelines and logistics
- Maintain and steer the Internal Communications editorial calendar
- Coordinate townhall logistics, site communications and internal events
- Coordinate senior leadership participation and contribution to townhalls
- Coordinate timely approvals, and deliverables for townhalls and internal events
3. Cross Functional Alignment
- Act as primary contact for HR/Transformation regarding internal communication
- Establish strong collaboration and alignment with HR/Transformation
- Support communication materials for transformation initiatives and HR programs
4. Project and Campaign Execution
- Support HR/Transformation campaigns (e.g., culture, values, strategic priorities)
- Manage production workflows with design/video teams (internal or external)
5. Governance & Quality Control
- Ensure narrative, message, tone consistency across all internal channels
- Maintain templates, internal communication toolkits, and brand standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field
- Several years of experience in a comparable position
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder
- High degree of empathy, credibility and trustworthiness
- Strong interpersonal intelligence with employee-centric mindset
- Highly collaborative and solution-oriented
- Strong “internal service orientation” combined with strategic mindset
- High level of self-initiative, strong hands-on mentality
- Independent, self-organized, pro-active, high‑output
- Highly resilient, calm under pressure
- Internal comms expertise from corporate, HR or matrix org background
- Excellent writing skills (English + German)
- Experience in supporting organizational change communication
- Strong project management and coordination capabilities
