Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital is searching for a dedicated Charge Nurse to be a part of our amazing team!
At the advanced level, this position serves as a lead nurse on the nursing unit. This position will oversee the unit on an assigned shift and act as a resource and provide guidance and input to other staff. This position may also be involved in making recommendations to the Nurse Manager and Nursing Supervisor regarding specific areas of improvement for the nursing unit. Provides nursing care for mentally ill patients admitted to an acute care hospital. Serves as a liaison with Physicians and reviews the work of licensed and non-licensed staff. Charts changes in mental or physical condition into patient records. Administers medications and alerts others of medical or psychiatric emergencies. Performs related duties as assigned.This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. Candidate must successfully pass a background screening.

Licensure/Certifications: | Current valid West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure. |
Experience: | Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a Registered Nurse. |
