About The Position
The Relay Database Specialist is responsible for the population, maintenance and support of all components of all Substation and Relay Maintenance databases, especially the data required for NERC Compliance Maintenance activities. This position will be required to efficiently and accurately update all data and supporting documentation for all FERC, NERC and SERC inquiries and audits. This position will be required to insure that all maintenance data and drawings are properly documented and retained in its proper database.
Key responsibilities include:
● Create, revise, maintain and update all maintenance data related with the Relay Maintenance Components (Relays, Load Checks, Trip Checks and Communication Systems).
● Track and review construction and maintenance packages for completeness.
● Assist with the compliance maintenance data transition from database to field personnel and from field personnel to database.
● Provide database records and drawings or schematics for field personnel related to construction, maintenance and trouble-shooting projects.
● Accurately populate new and revise existing relay maintenance records.
● Update Maximo records as appropriate.
● Assist in database support for any other substation and relay maintenance databases.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Computer Science/Database Management or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Database Management or equivalent Degree preferred. Five or more years of relevant experience (i.e., field, operations, database support) required. Experience or knowledge of Maximo, Microsoft Office applications, Enoservs Powerbase and Relay Testing System preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proven ability of technical and software database support required. Basic or thorough knowledge of querying and manipulation of databases preferred. Basic or thorough knowledge of Substation and Relay equipment preferred.

Compensation Range:
$60,600.00 - $90,900.00At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
