Associate Handbag Designer - Off-Price

Are you passionate about handbags, fashion trends, and bringing creative ideas to life? We are seeking an Associate Handbag Designer to support the development of seasonal handbag collections from concept through production for our contemporary handbag client in New York. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with 2–3 years of experience who enjoys combining creativity with technical execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. In Office 

RESPONSIBILITITES 

• Create CADs, technical packages, and production-ready specifications for seasonal handbag collections.
• Support product development by updating tech packs and communicating design revisions.
• Review samples and recommend improvements to enhance product quality.
• Research fashion, color, material, and accessory trends to inspire new designs.
• Partner with design, product development, merchandising, and vendor teams throughout the development process.
• Maintain organized artwork files, CAD libraries, and seasonal color palettes.

REQUIREMENTS 

• 2–3 years of handbag, accessories, footwear, or fashion design experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience creating CADs and technical packages for product development.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
• Adobe InDesign experience.
• Knowledge of handbag construction, materials, trims, and hardware.
• Strong understanding of current fashion and accessories trends.
