Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer - Global Dr in Sulphur, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience Valid Driver's License

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and access requirements at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete required reports, and communicate relevant security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must have at least one year of law enforcement experience, at least two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least three years of security-related experience.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Preferred ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
