Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Emergency Support in Paterson, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer supporting an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. You will report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and school personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school procedures, directing guests to appropriate locations and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting school personnel and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Document observations, patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
