We’re looking for a Verification Specialist who is detail-driven, resilient, and curious.

At Sourcefin, we make purchase order funding and invoice discounting easy for South Africa’s forgotten SMMEs. As a Verification Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the legitimacy of deals before they move forward. This is about making the right calls, following through with diligence, and protecting Sourcefin while enabling businesses to grow.

What you’ll do

• Contact government departments and end-buyers to confirm the validity of purchase orders.

• Review tender documents, purchase orders, and client information for red flags.

• Escalate potential fraud or suspicious findings for further investigation.

• Accurately document findings and maintain verification records.

• Support deal teams with timely, accurate verification feedback.

• Contribute to strengthening Sourcefin’s verification processes.

What makes you a great fit

• At least 1 year of experience in a vetting, verification, credit checking, or tender-related role.

• Familiarity with purchase orders, tenders, or public sector procurement processes.

• Excellent communication skills (telephone and email) — professional, clear, and persistent.

• Strong attention to detail, resilience, and ability to handle repetitive tasks with accuracy.

• Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

• Team player with a problem-solving mindset.
