Description

The HR Generalist - Employee Relations + Investigations serves as a primary HR resource for employee relations and workplace investigations across DaBella. This role is responsible for independently managing complex or sensitive employee concerns, conducting thorough and objective investigations, maintaining appropriate documentation, and ensuring matters are addressed consistently and timely. 

In addition to employee relations responsibilities, this position performs generalist duties and supports the day-to-day delivery of HR programs, policies, and processes. The role requires strong judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate sensitive situations while maintaining professionalism and objectivity. 

Location: Austin, TX *(ONSITE)*

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM)

Compensation: 48,000 - 55,000 Annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary HR resource for complex and sensitive employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and investigations.

  • Conduct thorough, timely, and objective investigations, including employee interviews, information gathering, document review, findings, and investigation summaries.

  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion throughout employee relations matters and ensure concerns are appropriately documented, tracked, and resolved.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding HR policies, workplace concerns, performance management, and corrective action.

  • Support consistent application of company policies, procedures, and HR practices across the organization.

  • Assist with day-to-day HR activities throughout the employee lifecycle, including employee documentation, status changes, separations, and policy implementation.

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of employee relations cases, investigations, outcomes, and follow-up actions.

  • Monitor employee relations trends and recurring concerns and communicate potential risks or issues to HR leadership.

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements and identify potential compliance concerns.

  • Support HR audits, documentation reviews, and other compliance-related activities as needed.

  • Collaborate with HR team members and leadership to coordinate employee matters, resolve concerns, and support department initiatives.

  • Provide timely updates, research, documentation, and other support to HR leadership on open employee relations matters and investigations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a generalist or similar HR role.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of direct experience conducting employee relations investigations and managing employee relations matters.

  • Demonstrated experience independently conducting workplace investigations from intake through findings.

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR practices.

  • Experience supporting performance management, corrective action, and employee relations processes.

  • Strong interviewing, fact-finding, documentation, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to evaluate information objectively and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple employee matters and investigations simultaneously while maintaining appropriate timelines.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or states.

  • Formal training in workplace investigations or employee relations

  • Experience working in a high-growth or rapidly changing organization.

  • Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS platform.

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
