This role will serve as the critical technical backbone for customer support across Data Solutions custom and nVent products. This role provides deep product expertise to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring a consistent, high-quality post-sales customer experience. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams and the dispatch/service organization leading all field activity.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Serve as a trusted technical expert for customers, providing real-time troubleshooting and guidance across our Data Solutions portfolio (cooling, power, racks, and custom systems)
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues using system data, logs, and technical documentation and delivering clear, actionable paths to resolution
- Own and drive customer concerns end-to-end, prioritizing issues based on severity, customer impact, and business needs
- Act as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams (Engineering, Product, Services, Sales) to ensure fast, aligned resolution
- Maintain strong case ownership and documentation, ensuring visibility, traceability, and continuous learning across support systems
- Contribute to product and process improvements by fostering insights into engineering, FAQs, and knowledge base development
- Build deep expertise across both standard and custom DS products, developing troubleshooting content, training materials, and standard processes
- Help evolve the function through continuous improvement of tools, processes, and support models
YOU HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related) or equivalent experience
- Experience in technical support, product support, or engineering-facing customer roles
- Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical/electrical systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, system configurations, and performance data
- Experience with data center infrastructure, cooling systems, or power systems preferred
- Familiarity with CRM/case management tools (e.g., Salesforce)
