Finance Trainee/Apprentice/VIE

Job Summary**

Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Trainee/Apprentice/VIE to join our finance department. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in various financial operations within a global automotive supplier, supporting our finance team in Mexico.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including budget versus actual variance analysis.
* Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
* Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities.
* Help with data entry and maintenance in financial systems.
* Assist in the preparation of presentations and financial summaries for management.
* Conduct financial data reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.
* Learn and apply company financial policies and procedures.
* Support internal and external audit preparations.
* Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and resolve issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
* Prior internship or relevant academic project experience in finance is a plus.
* Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
* Legally eligible to work in Mexico (for Trainee/Apprentice) or eligible for a VIE program.
