At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We are developing reusable, safe, and increasingly capable space systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem-solvers as we advance Blue Origin’s mission and build the infrastructure that supports humanity’s future in space.

The Role

As a Senior Quality Program Manager, you will help ensure quality requirements are defined, integrated, and achieved throughout the program lifecycle. You will serve as a primary connection between program leadership and functional quality organizations, promoting clear communication, disciplined execution, and program readiness.

You will develop and implement quality processes supporting the development, testing, and manufacture of advanced technology products in the communications and connectivity space—physical products that help connect people and communities around the world.

This role is well suited for a quality professional who excels at solving complex problems, delivering practical solutions, and working independently in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, communicate program quality status and risks, and help establish scalable processes that support safe and reliable execution.

Responsibilities

Program Quality Leadership

  • Serve as the primary quality point of contact for program leadership and as a conduit between the program and functional quality organizations.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute the Program Quality Plan and overall quality strategy across the product lifecycle.
  • Present quality status, performance metrics, risks, resource needs, and readiness assessments to program and quality leadership.
  • Establish and maintain quality requirements, objectives, processes, and operating mechanisms.
  • Integrate quality planning into program schedules, technical reviews, development activities, testing, manufacturing, and production-readiness efforts.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, program management, and other functional organizations to ensure quality requirements are understood and achieved.
  • Identify quality and execution risks, develop mitigation plans, and drive issues to effective resolution.
  • Develop practical, scalable quality solutions that support evolving program and operational needs.
  • Monitor program performance, identify trends, and lead continuous-improvement efforts.
  • Promote accountability, technical rigor, product integrity, and attention to detail across the organization.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners regarding quality requirements, status, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Support the transition from development into efficient, predictable, and scalable manufacturing.
  • Work with minimal direction, exercise sound judgment, and adapt effectively to changing priorities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Technical expertise in quality assurance, manufacturing, test, engineering, program management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or managing program quality plans and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across functional and organizational boundaries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop actionable solutions to complex issues.
  • Experience communicating program status, metrics, risks, resource requirements, and readiness to leadership.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively with limited direction.
  • A commitment to safety, product integrity, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability and comfort working across a variety of applications, systems, and stages of the product lifecycle.
  • A leadership style grounded in accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and operational excellence.
