ZS’s Digital and Technology group focuses on driving end to end Digital Transformation that includes Digital Strategy, Human centered Design, exploiting emerging technologies, and purposeful change management to improve customer and company results. The types of solutions include Digital Strategy and Advisory services, end to end Transformation Management, Enterprise Data, Analytics and AI, Intelligent Automation, reimagining business processes with digital first lens and building Digital Products, Solutions and Digital Platforms leveraging Big Data Technologies, AI/ML and Advance Analytics, Digital Platform configuration and integrations. As a Principal in Enterprise Data Management & Analytics practice, you will be responsible for shaping and driving large-scale data transformation programs for leading pharmaceutical clients. You will leverage your deep expertise in data management, analytics automation, and advanced technologies to deliver innovative solutions, build trusted executive relationships, and lead high-performing teams to success.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Program Leadership
- Shape and execute data management and analytics programs for Pharma clients, aligning solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee program roadmaps, ensuring seamless integration of data engineering, analytics, and automation initiatives.
- Client Partnership & Thought Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (Chief Data Officers, Chief Information Officers, etc.) on data strategy and management, analytics automation, and emerging technologies.
- Provide thought leadership by defining best practices, publishing white papers, and presenting at industry forums on cutting-edge data management trends in Pharma.
- Proven track record of working with hyper scalers and technology providers like Aws and Databricks to shape solutions and execute joint go to market campaigns.
- Solution Design & Delivery Oversight
- Lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms (cloud based mesh/fabric architectures, domain data products, AI/ML-based data management and NLP driven insights, data governance frameworks) that optimize efficiency, compliance, and business impact.
- Ensure robust delivery oversight, championing quality assurance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement across multiple projects.
- Team & Stakeholder Management
- Manage cross-functional teams (data engineers, data scientists, business analysts) to deliver on-time, high-impact solutions.
- Mentor and develop senior managers and consultants, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment on program objectives.
- Business Development & Practice Growth
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities within existing Pharma accounts and cultivating relationships with prospective clients.
- Develop and expand service offerings in data management and analytics automation, contributing to overall practice growth.
What You’ll Bring
- Domain Expertise: Extensive experience (15+ years) in data management, analytics, and automation, with a strong track record in the Life Sciences sector.
- Technical Leadership: Proven ability to shape and deploy advanced data solutions (cloud platforms, AI/ML, data products, data governance, automation frameworks) at enterprise scale.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated success in shaping and managing executive-level relationships, including strategy discussions and program oversight.
- Delivery Management: Expertise in leading complex, multi-workstream programs, with accountability for budget, timeline, and outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Strong people-management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams across global locations.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business). An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
