About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Banker (LO) in Consumer Banking and Lending. As a Business Banker (LO) you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and growing relationships with business banking clients in the branches. In this role, you will:
- Act as a trusted advisor by offering a full range of products and services and integrating advice across deposits, credit, treasury management, payments, and digital capabilities
- Deliver solutions that support clients' business objectives while ensuring alignment with bank policies, procedures, and risk requirements
- Manage and grow a portfolio of business clients, typically $500k to $2MM in annual sales, by owning the full client journey from onboarding to deepening relationships and acquiring new clients while delivering a branded, client-centric experience that drives growth and positions the bank as a trusted partner
- Acquire new business clients through targeted prospecting, branch-generated opportunities, networking, referrals, and coordinated market outreach. Execute defined business-development routines and maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities
- Operate within a defined Business Banker and Relationship Manager partnership model by identifying and referring secured or complex lending opportunities, coordinating customer introductions, and supporting a seamless client experience while maintaining ownership of the broader relationship
- Help clients improve cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial health
- Partner across Retail, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Credit, Branch Partners, and Relationship Managers to deliver a holistic, client-centered banking experience
- Manage client relationships, recommendations, documentation, and business-development activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and risk-management requirements.
- Share knowledge and best practices with peers and partners to support team effectiveness and consistent delivery of business banking solutions
- This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position includes assisting customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured transaction. Individuals in a LO position also must meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations below
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of financial services, sales, or customer service experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of business banking experience
- 1+ year of experience managing client portfolios and business relationships
- Knowledge of business banking and portfolio management
- Experience in business lending, credit policies, compliance requirements, and financial products and their application to business client needs
- Ability to prospect, network, and generate new business opportunities while demonstrating accountability for follow-up, pipeline management, and business development activities
- Strong relationship-building, communication, collaboration and consultative selling skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams
- Ability to understand client needs, make sound decisions, and recommend appropriate financial solutions
- Experience using digital banking tools and navigating financial conversations
- Proven ability to deliver a client-first experience in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to partner closely with peers and business partners to help clients meet their goals

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities. $30.77 - $45.67
