Description
Senior Sales Consultant, Enterprise New Business
Location: Fully remote, UK-based
Salary: £45,000 basic + commission, with progression to Sales Director
Full Time, Permanent
This is a fully remote, high-activity enterprise hunter role for someone who can independently generate and close new business. The biggest emphasis is on proven closing ability, measurable results and enterprise sales experience, with a fairly clear route from Senior Sales Consultant to Sales Director.
What the role involves:
This is a hunter / full-cycle B2B sales role. You will:
- Generate and manage your own pipeline, alongside inbound/marketing leads.
- Prospect, qualify, pitch, negotiate and close new customers.
- Sell a subscription-based service that provides technology vendors with pre-qualified meetings with CIOs, CISOs and CTOs.
- Sell primarily to senior sales and marketing leaders at technology companies.
- Manage a relatively short, repeatable sales cycle with a clear ROI proposition.
- Work to activity, conversion and revenue targets.
- Earn commission based on deals closed.
What they're looking for:
The company is particularly focused on four things:
- New-business experience – most of your revenue should have come from customers you personally won, rather than renewals/account management.
- Strong sales metrics – you need to confidently discuss:
- Average deal size
- Deals closed per month
- Conversion rates
- Quota/target attainment
Backgrounds they like
They're targeting candidates from areas such as:
- SaaS
- Cybersecurity
- MarTech
- FinTech
- CRM/customer data
- HR Tech
- B2B data/research subscriptions
- Business media
- Technology/event sponsorship sales
- Commercial insurance/merchant services/invoice finance/employee benefits
Experience with MEDDIC, Challenger, Sandler or structured sales environments is also attractive.
The key selling point of the role
You're essentially selling access to qualified C-suite conversations rather than trying to convince prospects to buy another piece of software.
The proposition is:
“We can get technology vendors into conversations with relevant CIOs, CISOs and CTOs who have genuine projects/budget, instead of relying on cold outreach.”
What they'll test in the interview
Expect a numbers-heavy interview. Be prepared to answer things like:
- What was your annual quota?
- What percentage of target did you achieve?
- What was your average deal size?
- How many deals did you close per month?
- What was your sales cycle?
- What percentage of your pipeline was self-generated?
- What was your conversion rate?
- Give me an example of a significant new-business win.
- Who were the typical senior stakeholders you sold to?
