This role will lead our IT team in developing Robotic Process Automation solutions and collaborate with peers to drive automation and Agentic AI solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of end-to-end healthcare workflows, AI technologies, and product development processes. This role will drive the strategic direction of our Automation and AI products across our Applications Portfolio and ensure their successful implementation, while managing a team of engineers supporting robotic process automation.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical leadership for the Automation and AI product portfolio, setting vision, direction, and priorities to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative automation solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
- Lead the end-to-end product and solution lifecycle—from concept and design through development, launch, and ongoing optimization—ensuring high-quality outcomes that improve revenue cycle and clinical workflows, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Apply deep expertise in healthcare revenue cycle and clinical operations, Epic EMR systems, and enterprise architecture to design, integrate, and enhance workflows that support complex, large-scale healthcare environments.
- Partner closely with revenue cycle and health system operations, IT teams, strategy leaders, and external vendors to gather requirements, drive alignment, manage escalations, and ensure solutions meet business and market needs.
- Direct and mentor engineering, architecture, and application teams, providing technical guidance across all phases of delivery while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product effectiveness, identify workflow bottlenecks, ensure quality assurance, and drive data-informed improvements.
- Oversee intake, prioritization, project execution, and governance, ensuring initiatives are aligned with organizational strategy, delivered on time and within scope, and supported by strong change management practices.
- Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives
- Manage people, leadership and operational responsibilities, including staffing, performance management, professional development, vendor relationships, and financial stewardship, to sustain high-performing teams and successful solution delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring solutions are properly interfaced and integrated with other related systems and they represent a practical solution for the business problems of the user.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Certification / License
Epic certification in one or more applications and/or certification in Automation Anywhere or UI Path to be completed within 6 months.
Work Experience:
- 10 years of experience in information systems, solution design, systems development, implementation, and installation within a complex environment. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience managing software engineers or automation teams preferred.
