The Role
Join one of Australia's most iconic FMCG businesses and play a pivotal role in strengthening cash flow performance, customer partnerships and operational excellence across our Grocery business. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded leader to influence outcomes across Finance, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics and IT, and help shape the future of credit and collections capability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Grocery Customer Collections & Claims team of six, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer outcomes and operational excellence
- Drive collections performance and optimise working capital through proactive management of the accounts receivable ledger
- Oversee trade spend, promotional claims and reconciliation activities, ensuring timely resolution and strong financial controls
- Champion automation, RPA and cloud-based collections solutions, delivering continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and accuracy
- Partner with key stakeholders across the business to strengthen governance, compliance and customer relationships
- Collaborate closely with your peer leaders — the Non-Grocery Collections Manager, Credit Improvement Lead and Credit Services Lead — to ensure a joined-up approach across the Group Credit team
About you
- Proven leadership experience within Collections, Credit or Accounts Receivable, ideally in FMCG, manufacturing, retail or a complex corporate environment
- Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to improve collections performance and manage customer accounts effectively
- Experience managing trade spend claims, pricing and stock claims and reconciliation processes within a customer-facing environment
- Passion for continuous improvement, automation, and leveraging technology to enhance team performance and customer outcomes
- Collaborative influencer with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across multiple functions, including peer leaders within a broader Credit function
