Your Impact
As a Finance Intern at Lowe’s, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting financial decisions that influence the success of a FORTUNE® 100 retailer. Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you’ll help analyze business performance, track financial metrics, and support forecasting and budgeting efforts. This internship is a launchpad for students who want to understand how finance powers enterprise-level decisions and contributes to organizational growth. Your work will help ensure Lowe’s remains agile, informed, and positioned for long-term success.
Summer Internship Program
Whether you're starting your professional journey or pivoting to a new field, Lowe's offers the resources and opportunities you need to thrive. Our 10-week summer internship program (May 24th–July 30th) immerses you in real-world retail operations. You'll work directly with industry experts across our stores, distribution centers, and corporate offices, gaining practical experience through hands-on projects that make meaningful contributions to our business and communities.

What You Will Learn
- Build core communication skills for working cross-functionally across other Lowe’s business units such as merchandising, supply chain, technology and other teams.
- How to interpret financial statements and key performance metrics, including variance analysis and forecasting.
- Interact with Lowe’s executive leadership and gain exposure to key success factors.
- How to track performance across business units using reporting and dashboard tools.
- How finance departments support strategic business initiatives and priorities.
- Exposure to financial systems (such as Oracle) and industry leading tools for analysis and modeling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
- Expected graduation dates of December 2027 or May 2028.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Proficient in MS Office programs (specifically in Power Point, Excel and data analysis tools).
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, problem solving, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
- Relevant internship and/or experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
- Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization.
