Job Title: Lead Data Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid working - 2 days a week)

Job Summary:
1. Lead
Data Engineer
We are
looking for a hands-on Lead Data Engineer with proven experience leading
engineers and driving technical delivery.
Key
requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Python,
PySpark, SQL and Databricks
- Strong experience with Azure/cloud
data platforms
- Proven technical/team
leadership experience
- Experience designing and
implementing enterprise-scale data solutions
- Strong understanding of Data
Lakes, ETL/ELT, data modeling and performance tuning
- Experience with CI/CD and
production data pipelines
- Ability to mentor engineers,
conduct code reviews and provide technical direction
- Experience with streaming
technologies such as Kafka/Kinesis is a plus
- Experience in
regulated/enterprise environments is preferred
This is not
simply a “Lead” title role. The team is specifically looking for someone who
has real experience leading engineers/projects while remaining technically
hands-on.
Key requirements:
- 5–8 years of Data Engineering/Data
Integration experience
- Strong Python
- Strong PySpark / Spark
- Strong SQL
- Hands-on Databricks
- Experience with Azure or
another major cloud platform
- Data Lake, ETL/ELT and data
pipeline development
- SQL and pipeline performance
optimization
- CI/CD experience
- Strong understanding of data
structures and data modeling
- Experience supporting production
data applications and troubleshooting complex issues
The technical interview will include live coding, with a strong focus on PySpark and SQL, along with experience- and scenario-based technical questions.
