Position Details

Role: Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician

Status: Full-Time

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience

Schedule: ICU Overnight Position Tuesdays- Wednesdays - Thursdays, 5 pm to 6 am, no weekends

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a veterinary technician required; specialty or emergency hospital experience preferred

Broward Veterinary Specialists is looking for an experienced Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician to join our team of compassionate professionals dedicated to outstanding patient care and exceptional client service.

As a key part of our overnight team, you’ll care for hospitalized ICU patients and work alongside our surgery, internal medicine, and oncology services. If you’re a calm, patient team player who thrives in specialty medicine, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Provide overnight care for hospitalized ICU patients
• Collaborate with our surgery, internal medicine, and oncology services on patient care
• Monitor patients closely throughout the night and keep the care team informed
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, both in person and by phone
• Support a calm, organized, and team-oriented ICU environment

Responsibilities may vary based on hospital needs as well as your experience, training, certifications, credentials, and assigned responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring

• At least 5 years of experience as a veterinary technician
• Specialty or emergency hospital experience preferred
• Excellent client communication skills, both in person and by phone
• A calm, patient approach and a team-player mindset
• Comfort working overnight shifts
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift [Weight] lbs with assistance
• Veterinary technician licensure is welcomed but not required
