Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Jr. Maintenance Mechanic. You’ll have the opportunity to work on all types of commercial and industrial equipment and cutting-edge technologies. Location: Ottawa, ON – Onsite

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate in formal apprenticeship training programs and complete required technical education.
  • Learn the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Support maintenance teams in performing equipment repairs and facility maintenance activities.
  • Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Help diagnose equipment issues and support troubleshooting efforts alongside experienced technicians.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing mechanical components.
  • Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Safely operate and properly utilize hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and service records.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while performing work. 

Your Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree or technical school HVAC certificate (preferred)
  • 0-2+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Accepted as an Apprentice by Local Union 787
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
  • Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
  • Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)

 

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

 

The expected hourly rate for this position is $25.00 in ON. The rate is subject to the amount outlined in the CBA and could change based on the level offered. Benefits are provided through a local labor union and aligned to the CBA.


Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
