Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Helmet Production Manager to lead our custom helmet assembly operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across all stages. This role plays a vital part in delivering high-performance protective gear to athletes while maintaining strict compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Manage and supervise all helmet production activities, including molding, assembly, painting, and quality testing.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of production staff, technicians, and line supervisors to meet output goals and quality standards.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to ensure all products meet safety regulations (e.g., NOCSAE& SEI) and brand specifications.
  • Inventory & Materials Management: Monitor raw material levels, manage supply chain relationships, and coordinate with procurement to maintain adequate stock.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the production floor complies with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet      forecasted demand and product launch timelines.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with R&D, Design, and Engineering teams to transition new helmet models from concept to production.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably within sporting goods or protective equipment manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of helmet manufacturing techniques (e.g., in-mold construction, polycarbonate shell fabrication, foam      molding).
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with production software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

  • Experience working with high-impact safety standards and materials (e.g., EPS foam, MIPS, carbon fiber).
