Operations Manager – Moorebank, NSW
Job Description / The Role –
An exciting leadership opportunity exists for an experienced Operations Manager to lead a major transport operation supporting Primary Connect at Moorebank.
You will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the Moorebank operation, driving outcomes across safety, service delivery, customer satisfaction and financial performance. You'll lead a large and diverse workforce while partnering closely with customer stakeholders to deliver exceptional operational results.
This is more than an Operations Manager role. It's an opportunity to take charge of a large-scale, high-profile transport operation supporting one of Australia's leading supply chains, where your leadership will directly influence safety, service performance, customer outcomes and business growth.
This is a highly visible leadership position for someone who can balance operational excellence with people leadership, continuous improvement and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities, but not limited to -
- Lead all aspects of daily transport and distribution operations.
- Drive safety, service and financial performance outcomes across the site.
- Manage operational budgets, forecasting and profitability.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with Primary Connect and Woolworths stakeholders.
- Lead, coach and develop operational leaders and frontline teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and service.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative, customer and company requirements.
- Manage labour planning, resource allocation and workforce performance.
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement strategies to improve results.
- Investigate service failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
What We’re Looking for to Drive Success –
- Significant leadership experience within transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience managing large-scale operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L performance.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent analytical, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience delivering operational improvement and productivity initiatives.
