Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Lead Site Management & Monitoring strategy across the Americas to achieve global and regional clinical development objectives.
· Drive innovative clinical trial planning and execution, including patient-focused approaches that improve study performance.
· Oversee trial feasibility, allocation, startup, enrollment, and delivery across Phase I-IV clinical studies.
· Ensure studies meet recruitment, timeline, budget, quality, and compliance commitments across the Hub.
· Champion operational excellence through performance monitoring, issue escalation, and continuous process improvement.
· Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing Site Management & Monitoring leaders and teams across multiple countries.
· Manage Hub budgets, resources, and productivity initiatives while fostering strong partnerships with global stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences required; advanced scientific or business degree preferred.
· Fluency in written and spoken English with exceptional executive-level communication skills.
· Minimum 12 years of clinical research experience across trial planning, execution, or monitoring.
· Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience managing high-performing and geographically diverse teams.
· Expert knowledge of clinical drug development and end-to-end clinical trial execution.
· Deep understanding of international regulations, Good Clinical Practice, and global health authority requirements.
· Demonstrated strategic leadership, matrix management, and organizational change management capabilities.
· Proven ability to build partnerships, influence stakeholders, and resolve complex business challenges.
Desirable Requirements
· Experience leading large-scale regional or global clinical operations organizations within a complex matrix environment.
· Proven success driving innovation, patient-focused clinical trial strategies, and organizational transformation initiatives.
The salary for this position is expected to range between $303,100 and $562,900 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
