Senior Tax Manager

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No Relocation offered.

Overall Purpose: The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for analysis, preparation, and presentation of the worldwide income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 under U.S. generally accepted accounting principles.

 

Job Description:

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Prepare recurring income tax accruals
• Manage tax account reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly tax provision calculations including effective tax rate, deferred taxes rollforward, uncertain tax positions and valuation allowances
• Prepare interim and yearend financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740
• Analyze and manage uncertain tax positions
• Comply with company policy and SOX controls in accordance with ASC 740
• Provide support for research on tax implications of business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
• Collaborate with team members and tax advisors to complete ad hoc projects.
• Identifies and helps to implement operational efficiencies and enhancements through use of automation and technology.

Desired Qualifications:

• Focused experience in tax accounting and reporting.
• Critical thinking skills with experience recognizing and evaluating tax issues.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including use of complex functions
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, Power BI or Alteryx is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-financial stakeholders and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
• 3+ years of Big 4 or
• large corporate experience in primarily an income tax accounting role. 
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field required.  CPA license preferred.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 3+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.
