We’re looking for an Engineer III to join our team in Columbus, OH, someone who’s excited to work on impactful roadway and active transportation projects that reflect our mission and values.

What You’ll Do

As an Engineer III, you will lead civil design on multimodal projects that make communities safer, more sustainable, and better connected, from urban streetscapes and roadway reconstructions to signature trails in suburban and rural settings. You will develop creative solutions to complex challenges and carry projects from feasibility studies through construction documents using AutoCAD or MicroStation, while managing your own tasks and small projects and coordinating directly with clients. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you will build deep technical expertise, take on growing leadership responsibility, and advance your career doing work that reflects your values and leaves a lasting mark on the places people live.

We are targeting a salary range of $80,000-$90,000 without a PE, and $90,000-$100,000 with a PE for this position.

Requirements

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering
• Engineering in Training (EIT) Certification, bonus if you already have your PE license
• 4+ years of experience
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: MicroStation (including InRoads and/or OpenRoads Designer), AutoCAD (including Civil 3D)

It would be a plus if you have any of the following:

• Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape and hardscape layout
• Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates
• Experience analyzing and designing stormwater infrastructure
• A strong interest in multimodal and active transportation design, sustainability, and the opportunity to work on challenging projects that make communities more livable
